I am looking for a Security Operations Analyst to work for a major bluechip organisation. This is an additional role for a Security Operations Analyst to help carry out a number of operationally focussed security activities and project tasks. This role has become necessary as a result of a number of audit findings requiring action and the fact that my client does not have a functionally oriented role.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
This role will site at levels 3-4 within the BCS SFIA+ skills framework for Security Administration.
It must include a thorough understanding & demonstrable operational experience of security requirements in a banking environment including:
Management & support of hardware encryption / security devices (HSMs)
Management, control, monitoring of all data transfer activities.
Ability to liaise & communicate at both management & technical levels
Ability to prepare & present reports, plans & assessments.
An ISEB certificate in Security Management would be advantageous but not essential.
HSM (Host Security Module) management
Audit current estate to ensure all devices are located and managed appropriately.
Ensure all devices are covered by appropriate support contracts with the supplier.
Ensure in-house support & management is adequate and that all procedures relating thereto are up to date, documented and communicated to all interested parties.
2. Secure Data Transmission
Review all forms of secure data transmission and associated processes & procedures within my clients security department.
Identify areas of risk and the actions needed to mitigate or remove those risks.
Work with relevant parties to implement those actions agreed as being necessary.
3. Equipment in office locations
Work with security department to agree security & DR standards for computer equipment located in office (as opposed to computer room) locations.
Develop & implement procedures to ensure that all installations in office locations meet the agreed standards.
Audit of equipment in non computer room environments at key locations to be agreed to identify equipment not meeting agreed standards.
Work with various parties to agree & implement a remediation plan for equipment not meeting agreed standards.
