You will be expected to generate new areas of research that complement the existing biomaterials research activities, contribute to teaching on existing undergraduate programmes and be proactive in the development of new programmes at Masters level. It is anticipated that the post will be self financing within two years.

You will have a good publication record in high quality journals and a proven track record in attracting research income. Areas of research that are preferred will be in the general field of dental materials or biomaterials but based around expertise in the field of materials science/materials characterisation. Experience in the running of Masters level programmes in this area will be a distinct advantage as will links with overseas universities for the purposes of student recruitment.

It is intended that the successful applicant will take up the post before September 2010, in time for the academic year 2010/2011.


Salary
£46,510 - £60,685 p.a.
