Full Description:
My client is looking to employ a Statistician in their Altrincham office
to provide data analysis and advice on pricing/retention strategy.

Key responsibilities
1.Setting up databases, spreadsheets etc to allow the analyses of rate changes, programming the system to allow data to be manipulated effectively.
2.Undertaking monthly analyses of rate changes for competitors, inputting to database and producing statistical reports for Head Office underwriters.
3.Undertaking statistical analysis projects for pricing team, obtaining market information, setting up spreadsheets and producing reports.
4.Producing ad hoc reports, graphs, tables etc showing market and other data.
5.Downloading raw data from the mainframe system and undertaking analyses in order to optimise pricing and retention strategy.
6.Interpreting results of statistical analyses in order to recommend rates and communicating to pricing team.
7.Liaising with Systems Development to resolve queries regarding downloading data or PC problems.
