| Service Desk and 1st Line Support- £18,000 + benefits Linux/ MS Windows Server/ Unix/ ITIL/ Windows/ Support/ Configuration/ MS Office/ Trouble Shooting/ 1st Line support/ Service Desk Support/ MCP: North West Based- commutable from Warrington, Widnes, St Helens, Earlestown and Wigan. Car Parking available onsite. This role offers an excellent and exciting opportunity for applicants with limited experience to embark on a career in the IT support field. This role will offer you exposure to technical trouble shooting, support and assisting with configuration issues. You will also gain exposure to ITIL and systems management. Getting this type of experience on your CV will do wonders for your skill development and offer you a long term career in a successful and reputable company. You will find this position varied, assisting the service desk with a range of activities your role will be crucial in prioritising technical incidents, creating reports and resolving technical issues. Scope to learn new skills and grow within the role will be presented as your level of experience increases. A generous salary and benefits package also means the financial rewards are extremely competitive. You will need some experience within an IT support or service desk environment. Previous experience within a helpdesk role or 1st line telephone support would be acceptable. Experience with MS Office suite and Linux/ Unix will be preferable. Experience within incident management and working to SLAs will also be hugely desirable. You will ideally have an understanding of Windows Server and Windows desktop. Organisation and communication will be central to this role, it is vital you are a quick learner and able to talk technically to customers and managers. Applicants with exposure to ITIL practices will also be of interest, yet this is not essential. Getting to my client is easily done from Lancashire and Cheshire areas due to their convenient location. Good links to the M6 and with parking on site means a short drive from Wigan, St Helens and Warrington. Train links from Liverpool and Manchester are also good with my clients site within a 10-15 minute walk of the nearest station.
