GRADUATE SALES

This is an internally based telephone role with a monthly target of £5,000 margin. Target is achieved by adhering to a set structure and proven disciplines that are based upon quality daily proactive telephone calling to identify prospects and develop sales opportunities for products within the remit of a Telephone Account Manager [TAM]. Typically the employee will spend the minimum of 12-18 months in this role. We welcome applications from anyone that meets the core competencies and skills, although people in this role typically possess a degree and have a desire to move into field sales.

The candidate must already have a successful track record within a targeted sales environment, preferably b2b but essentially with the drive and determination to excel in a target environment. Our client's strong preference is to promote from within and successful TAMs are expected to apply for external sales roles as vacancies become available. Candidates will be considered on the basis of over achievement of target, product knowledge, lead qualification, work ethic and initiative. Appraisals and the opinions of senior members of the Management team will also form part of the decision making process.

Coaching & Personal Development

Our client is fully committed to the ongoing training and development of all staff. There are several regular structured training courses, both internal & external, that are specifically geared towards enhancing the sales skills of the individual so that they are prepared and able to take on the next external role as it becomes available. They will begin by learning how to handle sales enquiries using a pre-defined format of qualification that will enable leads to be developed or passed to the relevant account manager within the business. Once the individual has proven this ability and demonstrated this competence they will progress to the more proactive elements of the role and be expected to develop and perform to the set standards and expectations of the business.

Requirements of the Individual

• 2.2 degree and 3 A levels (min 16pts) or equivalent experience

• Outbound sales experience,

• Proven experience of cold calling to generate new business and account management of existing accounts essential

• Ability to deal with dissatisfied customers in a highly professional manner

• Target driven and results orientated

• Ambitious with a desire to move on within the business

• Outgoing and friendly with a good sense of humour

• Clear, articulate telephone manner and the confidence to communicate with high-level decision-makers

• Ability to persuade and influence the outcome of a situation

• Good personal presentation

• Sound analytical abilities with good judgment

• Working knowledge of Windows software. (Previous experience of Siebel would be an advantage)

• Resourceful and able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously

• Ability to prioritise and to work to deadlines

• Has demonstrated the ability to perform and think clearly under pressure

• Enthusiastic, professional, honest, bright and prepared to offer 110% effort
