| My client, based in Prestwich, North Manchester requires an experienced project manager to work on a 3 month fixed term contract. This NHS Trust provides health an social care mental health services across Bolton, Salford and Trafford. The trust is intending to procure and implement an electronic prescribing and drugs administration system that will integrate with the Trust's clinical information and pharmacy management systems. As part of the first phase of this work the Trust requires a project consultant for 3 months to assist in the development of an output-based specification for the proposed system and a business case for the investment. Key skills sought include: · Project management experience using Prince2 · Ability to work with clinicians and other key stakeholders · An understanding of mental health service provision · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The trust are looking for a specialist candidate who must have the following skills: · Educated to degree level or equivalent · Demonstrable Project Management skills · Familiarity with the NHS systems · Principles, methods, techniques and tools for effective project management · Risk assessment skills · Techniques associated with planning and control · Experience of using Prince2 and other such packages including MS Project · Ample management experience including exposure at a senior level · Excellent communication skills · Strong analytical/judgmental skills · Able to use own initiative · Able to negotiate and influence others |
