Administrator Level 3 - School Improvement and Business Support Service

We are looking for an experienced level 3 administrator to work in (and from time-to-time lead) a busy office. Our clients are looking for an effective communicator with data entry skills with knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office.

Key Tasks:
To coordinate the advisory & clerking service provided to schools, ensuring the provision of appropriate training and support to staff providing this service.

To deputise for the Senior Support Officer in their absence.

To carry out the administrative arrangements relating to the appointment of LA governors.

To act as authorised signatory for list 99 & CRB checks.

To be responsible for the “mail-shot”.

To support the delivery of the governor training programme.

To assist in the provision of a support and advice service to governors and staff within the school improvement group.

To create documents, spreadsheets, presentations, publicity materials etc; using appropriate computer software.

To be responsible for producing the Termly list of governing body meetings.

To prepare and distribute agendas for governing body meetings. Including: -
*Producing the Termly draft agenda and support papers
*Producing personalised proforma agendas/ draft agendas/support papers
*Recording individual school requirements regarding agenda items

To be responsible for the maintenance and continual improvement of the database’s holding governor related information.

To actively promote the role of governor to potential new recruits.
To act as a first point of contact for schools, governors and staff within the department regarding governor related issues.

To be responsible to the Senior Support Officer for the management of the Governor Clerking budget.

To attend meetings of school governing bodies as and when required.
