Fantastic opportunity to work within a public sector organisation based in Stockport. As an Assistant Project Officer you will be responsible for defining, agreeing and documenting all processes relating to procurement and supplier management with the Business Services ICT department.
Duties will include:
·Creating processes for the collation and effective management of all Business Services ICT contracts
·Recording, analysing and improving the end-to-end procurement process
·Aligning procurement and supplier management processes with Service Level agreements, Operating Level Agreements and Underpinning Contracts
·Identification of key stakeholders in the procurement / supplier management process so that effective communication of new and revised changes can be maintained
·Establish suitable metrics for effective performance management of the procurement/supplier management process
·Creation of improvement opportunities in relation to supplier management processes across Business Services ICT
·Assisting the ISO/IEC Supplier Management Process Owner as required
·To liaise with and work alongside officers, both from within the Service and outside, in the development and delivery of projects
·General ad hoc duties
We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, an eye for detail, and used to working to deadlines. Must have previous procurement experience (preferable e-procurement), good ms office skills and have previous involvement with a quality standard.
