Arranging shipments from supplier to door
Resolving all the queries in between
This will involve communicating with the supplier, the forwarder, the shipping line and possibly our customer.
Classifying Goods for Customs purposes ie a knowledge of HS Tariff codes is required
Keeping shipping schedule up to date
Creating Stock codes
Purchase Order Processing
Preparing paperwork for letters of credit
Liaising with other internal departments
Booking deliveries in to warehouses
Checking container sheets
Booking stock in to Sage
Checking goods in against supplier invoices/ raising queries
Liaising with Forwarders
Intrastat and EC Sales Listing Reports – Previous experience will be beneficial
Reconciliation of VAT Certificate
Paperwork for FOB direct shipments/queries
Freight Charges – Negotiating and checking
Must have import experience - this is essential
Must posess excellent Excel / Word skills
Sage Line 50 - experience of this software is preferred
Excellent communication skills
Salary £17-£22K depending on experience
