Our client, leading public sector organisation, is currently recruiting for an HR Advisor based at their offices in the Greater Manchester area. Reporting directly to the HR Manager you will be responsible for implementing new HR strategies, policies, and procedures in accordance with organisational values, best practice, and employment law.
Responsibilities include:
· Provide HR advice and guidance
· To manage casework including identifying ways of reducing the number of performance management issues.
· Deal with discipline, grievance, and employment tribunals.
· Develop and improve existing HR processes to enhance the level service provided.
· Engage with relevant HR Shared Services stakeholders about HR policies, procedures and actions required to ensure that the organisation makes the best use of its employees and supports the HR operating plan.
· Help maintain effective communication links between Shared Services, Specialist Services, Business partners and project teams to ensure a joined up approach to HR Service Delivery.
· Contribute to a range of HR projects and activities.
· To prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports to support continuous improvement in the management and monitoring of performance management.
· To keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources.
It is essential that candidates possess previous HR experience within a similar HR Advisor role. Successful candidates will demonstrate a range of experience in dealing with HR issues from discipline, grievance, and employment tribunals. You should be fully or part CIPD qualified depending on your level of experience. Own transport is required for this role as it may require some local travel within the Northwest at times.
Working hours are Monday to Friday based on a 35-hour working week from 8.30am – 4.45pm however flexi-time is also available. You will receive an attractive salary in the region of £24,500 to £26,000 for exceptional candidates plus a company benefits package including 24 days holiday per annum and contributory pension scheme.
