My client is an international business with customers worldwide. The company operates through our direct sales staff and a worldwide network of agents and distributors, backed by a multilingual technical sales team based in Manchester
My Client is requiring an ambitious forward thinking individual who posses the enthusiasm and desire to assist us to make the continuous changes required to carry our business forward.
Responsibility:
• You will have the engineering experience to be capable of producing fully costed manufacturing estimates
• Production of shop floor documentation for new and/or modified jobs including routings set up sheets, and CNC programmes using Delcam Powermill package for various vertical machining centres.
• Carrying out technical special projects as and when required
• You will have the capability to design and produce part and tooling models preferably using ‘Delcam Powershape’ CAD package
• You should have experience of ISO Programming using Fanuc, Heindenhein, and Hurco UltiMax on vertical machining centres, and Mazatrol on lathes.
• You will be capable of handling special development projects and assignments as required
• Experience of programming in PC-DMIS for Mitutoyo CMM would be an added advantage
Person:
• A time served engineer with a minimum of 5 years experience in a production-engineering role in a small batch, high variety environment
• Computer literate and have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong at planning with good organisational skills
• A good communicator
• Highly motivated and pro-active
• Willing and able to be an active member of the total company wide team
