Role Summary
A role has arisen for a Group Management Accountant to cover maternity leave for a period of approx 10 to 12 months commencing 1st September 2008.
Key Responsibilities
The job holder will be responsible for the preparation of the management accounts for LBM Direct Marketing Ltd and group companies on a monthly basis. The role will focus on the supervision of the management accounts team (four reports). This includes the production of draft profit and loss accounts, balance sheet and detailed monthly file including reconciliation’s for every balance sheet code and detailed file on all profit and loss revenues and costs. The individual will also be responsible for the production of sales, client and divisional profitability reports working to strict deadlines. Outside the month end cycle, the individual will be expected to work on a variety of projects to help deliver cost savings and efficiencies within the department and the company as a whole.
Technical Skills
The individual will hold an accountancy qualification (CIMA/ACCA) and will have preferably completed at least 2 years post qualification work experience. Solid IT skills are fundamental to this role. A high proficiency in Excel is essential to the role as the individual will be required to work with and develop very complex spreadsheets and will be responsible for working on business specific development reports and models.

A strong team player – the individual must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all levels within the business.
Experience in management accounting is essential to this role.
Strong working background of reconciliation and management reporting.
As this is a sales orientated environment, understanding profitability, revenue recognition and adhoc reporting are all integral to successfully administering this role.

The individual will need to demonstrate a confident and approachable personality and be able to demonstrate an ability to build confidence and strong relationships within the immediate team and other key interfaces.
You must be able to clearly communicate with non-financial interfaces from the sales team to the contact centre GMs.
You must be able to work to strict deadlines in a clear, calm and measured manner.
Remuneration
The salary will be based on £35k - £40k per annum together with pro-rata 25 days per annum holiday entitlement.
