My client, a firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors based in Blackburn are looking to recruit a Personal Tax Semi Senior or Senior to join the Personal Tax team. The role involves providing a complete personal tax service to a portfolio of clients, which will include high net worth individuals, as well as undertaking some tax planning work. In order to undertake this work, at the level required, candidates must be either ATT qualified, at the final stages of studying for the ATT qualification or Qualified By Experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To prepare personal tax Returns for a portfolio of clients, including High Net Worth Individuals, and all relevant taxes to those Returns
To assist in the preparation of Forms P11d
To attend to small PAYE schemes and End of Year forms
To provide technical advice and guidance on tax matters to Partners and staff
To identify opportunities for tax planning, assess the benefit to clients and discuss ideas with more senior staff and with clients where appropriate
Skills/Attributes Required:
Hold the ATT qualification, be at the final stages of studying towards ATT or be Qualified By Experience
Familiar in the use of recognised software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and a Tax Return software package)
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Possess good administration and organisation skills
Training Provision:
Full training and support in the firms software systems
Regular appraisals and mentoring to ensure development is maintained
Study for tax qualifications if felt relevant or required.
Benefits:23.5 days holiday per annum + Bank Holidays (Pro rata for part time hours)

Working Hours:Full Time Hours: 36.25 per week (8.45 am - 5.00 pm Monday to Friday with one hour for lunch each day)
Part Time Hours: To be mutually agreed
Salary:up to £30,000 depending upon level of qualification and experience (this salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time hours)
