    Insurance company based in Manchester requires a Customer Insight Analyst to join the team.

    Overall purpose of this role

    Working within the Marketing Analysis team that has a wide remit that covers predictive modelling, customer segmentation, web analysis, campaign management & analysis and the delivery of marketing management information.

    In this key role you will be responsible for applying statistical and analytical techniques to drive efficiency and increase effectiveness of the direct marketing process.

    The main focus of your role will initially be the following areas:

    Perform detailed analysis to enable customer insight in the business and to aid in the development of marketing communications strategy:
    Using analytical and data mining techniques, recommend strategies for maximising customer acquisition, retention and relationship development.
    Development of profiles of the customer base across the various brands, channels and products.
    Delivery of regular management information on the key KPI’s relating to the performance of inbound call activity:
    Production of regular management information detailing call volumes across various media including direct mail, directories and bought calls.
    Development of robust forecasts to show expected call volumes across all media, together with the production of variance reports showing performance against forecast.
    Maintain a database of all 08xx numbers with full descriptions of product, usage, routing and media type.
    Manage the allocation of all 08xx and liaise with the telephony team to ensure that all numbers are correctly routed.

    Skills and Experience Required:

    Educated to degree level in a numerical discipline.
    Experience in a commercial environment such as insurance, mail order or retail financial services would be a distinct advantage.
    Excellent analytical and numerical skills, preferably in a financial services background.
    Highly competent in at least one of the following analytical areas:
    Data Analysis: SAS, SQL, Alterian or equivalent
    Statistical Modelling: SAS Enterprise Miner, SPSS, KXEN or equivalent
    Campaign Management: SAS, Unica or equivalent
    Web Analytics: Site Intelligence, Web Trends, Omniture or equivalent
    Highly competent in MS Office particularly Microsoft Excel and Access.
