The BT Local Business (BTLB) network was established to help to sell BT products and services to BT’s small and medium sized business customers in the UK. There is now a network of circa 60 BTLB's in the UK.
Each BTLB is an independent company run by experienced sales people, with the support of the BT organisation. They offer business customers a single, local point of contact, for their IT and communication needs.
Every BT Local Business has an exclusive territory in which it acts as the primary sales interface, focusing on selling to companies of all types with up to 50 employees.
All BT Local Businesses are independently owned and operated. Positions advertised on this site are within BT Local Business, not BT, and are therefore subject to BT Local Business terms and contracts.
The Position:
The role holder is a proactive desk based sales agent, who acts as the point of contact for customer(s) within the local SME market. He/she is responsible for delivering against targets, as well as engaging with others to deliver customer requirements as necessary.
Responsibilities:
*Typically responsible for a number of small - medium sized accounts
*First point of contact for customers
*Proactively call and sell to customers
*Promoting and selling BT’s extensive product portfolio
*Building and developing relationships with customers
*May have responsibility for outbound sales prospecting and opportunities
*Responsible for meeting challenging sales targets through pro-actively selling BT products and services to business customers
*Generating quality leads for field sales colleagues
*Meeting customers' future needs and guiding them through the changes towards converged solutions
*To ensure customer satisfaction, including prompt dealing with customer complaints or concerns
*Develop a good knowledge and understanding of the BT product and service portfolio, for example, telephone system technologies including VOIP, convergent voice and data systems, broadband, mobile and data
About the Person:
*An experienced telephone sales professional
*Relevant experience in Desk Based selling
*Proven track record of delivering against revenue targets
*The ability to work to defined revenue and opportunity targets with timescales
*Good awareness and knowledge of the telecoms market, products and services
*Computer literate
*Telecoms/IT experience
*Professional approach to team and client relationships
*Drive and commitment to deliver
*Enthusiastic, hard working and self-motivated
*Ability to work well under pressure

*Excellent organisation and interpersonal skills
